2008-2009 TOWN AND COUNTRY DAYS QUEEN CONTRACT
The following are conditions that are agreed upon this 11 th day of August 2008 between
_________________________, 2008 Town and Country Days Queen and Town and Country Days Inc. These are the terms of the agreement in serving as Queen of Town and Country Days.
1. The Queen certifies and / or agrees to the following. I attest that I am a citizen of the United States of America and a legal resident of the County of Wetzel, that I
have never been married, or had a marriage annulled, or have borne a child.
I agreed to remain single during my reign, agree not to become pregnant, and
understand that if either of these occurs, this contract will become null and void
I attest that I am of good moral character, that I have not been convicted of a
major crime that I have heretofore made any legal obligations that would
prevent or limit my participation as queen, and that I am not current titleholder
nor never have been Miss Town and Country Days Queen.
2. As Queen of Town and Country Days you will receive cash award consisting
of two hundred dollars ($200.00) the night of the pageant and an additional three
hundred dollars ($300.00) when you give you reign up in the August of 2009.
3. As Queen I agree to be available for the week of Town and Country Days
August 11th through the 16th as needed to make presentations at the fair.
4. The Queen agrees not to run for a competing pageant prior to representing
Town and Country Days at the State Fairs and Festivals Conventions held
in January 2009.
5. I agree not to incur any debits on behalf of the Fair Board.
6. The Queen agrees to attend the 2009 Fair and Festivals Competition
representing Town and Country Days on January 2009.
7. Town and Country Days, Inc. will be responsible for paying the following
expenses for the Queen to attend the State Fairs and Festivals
Convention; a registration for the competition.
8. Town and Country Days Chairman has the final say in what type of
gown and street wear to be worn on the Queen at the State Pageant.
9. If for any reason the Queen becomes disqualified and loses her title the
first runner-up, as selected by the judges, will assume the role of Town and
Country Days Queen.
10. The Queen agrees to attend the 2009 Town and Country Days Queen’s Pageant,
which will be held Monday August 10, 2009 and give speech on past year as
reigning Town and Country Days Queen.
11. The Queen must attend the Marshall Country Fair, the Tyler Country Fair and
Sistersville Oil and Gas Pageant
12. The Queen must attend the Christmas parade, Labor Day parade, and The
Sistersville Oil and Gas parade.
